Thank you for your purchase of our New Fancy Pants All-In-Two’s (AI2’s) or All-n-Ones
Fitting Your AI2’s or All-n-ones
For Ai2's-Attach a pad matching the Velcro on the pad and inside the shell, and tuck the pad in the pocket at the waistband.
For both Ai2;s and All n Ones - With the diaper side that has the tabs against the tummy, slide the tail in the tail hole (if necessary) and push up snuggly against the body. Bring one side of tabs around and secure on the loop Velcro across the back (opposite of diapering a baby); next, bring up the second side and adjust snugness as needed. Make sure the diaper is tucked in at the hip joints; this is what helps keep them on, as the legs are fully through the leg hole.
For additional adjustment, I have added Velcro extending past the fabric tabs; this may be trimmed to any length or completely cut off if not needed. Adjustment at the waist will also “snug up or loosen” at the legs, so play with where you secure them at the waist to get the best overall fit.
If your pet has more than just the occasional urine leakage, be sure and check to change them often. Fancy Pants AI2's are highly absorbent, but urine scald can still take place and lead to sores, infections, and other problems.
Washing Instructions
Secure the hook side of the Velcro to the loop side of your AI2 diaper shells or your All-in-ones before washing. Using a mesh wash bag will keep the Velcro - both on the tab edges and the inside piece for the pads - from snagging other things in the wash. They can be purchased at big box stores such as Walmart or Target. Wash shells in a warm or cool water, wash with a mild detergent and tumble dry low or line dry as you wish.
Do not use chlorine bleach or stain removers such as Shout or OxiClean. These harsh chemicals will break down the outer shell's waterproof protection! Pads can also be washed in hot or warm water, but you may use bleach (preferably non-chlorine) or other cleaners such as OxiClean or odor removers.
Do NOT use fabric softener or dryer sheets, as it prohibits absorption (dryer sheets leave an oil behind in your dryer that can attach to anything you dry.
Using creams or ointments can also inhibit absorption over time and your pads or inner lining of the All-in Ones may need to be stripped.
Stripping Instructions - if you find that your pads are not absorbing well and you have used any of the above listed products at any time you need to strip the build up. Using Blue Dawn dish soap - fill a sink, bucket or large bowl with the hottest water you can. Add a few drops of Blue Dawn and swish, add the pads to water and swish again to get them soaked. (Do not do this to the shells). Soak for at least one hour, then rinse, rinse, rinse until you see no soap bubbles and wash as normal. Try to check during the agitation of the rinse cycle to make sure there is no bubbles. If there is, start with wash cycle again, this time adding no additional soap, run through a full cycle and then dry on hot as usual.
I do believe you will find they clean up beautifully with just hot water and soap, though! These can also easily be washed with towels or other things you have been using with your furry friend since they have the soft side of the Velcro on them. If washing with the shells, do use a laundry bag for the shells as the two Velcro sides will always find each other! Blessings to you and your furry friend.
